Which was my point. You have a ton of rights, but you are going to be arrested if you refuse to talk to the police. 100% of the time.

I thought the OPs point was "how do I get out of a checkpoint" and my post was YOU DONT. Go to jail, lawyer up and fix it.

Absolutely. I have posted numerous times I think cops are corrupt, inept and just high school trash. But its not going to be fixed anytime soon.

Drinking and driving is not against the law. Drunk driving is. I’d rather not have to answer that I had 1 glass of wine with dinner to guy that barely made it out of high school.l trying to show off go all his buddies and make a fool of me on the side of the highway where all the officers are being paid overtime to produce “results

It means, if you are arrested without cause and you take it to court the municipality is almost guaranteed to settle with you, with taxpayer dollars.

It happens all the time.

Not sure about the laws but if you aren’t drinking it shouldn’t be a problem. At least the ones I’ve been through it wasn’t. They just look at my info and ask if I’ve had anything to drink. I’m not a cop but I guess they could smell it whether you say yes or no.

They may be a little inconvenient but how hard is it not to drink and drive. Someone I personally know was killed by a drunk driver this past Friday night. Driving the wrong way on a 4 lane that was separated by a median. He lived and she died.

I guess so probably if you don't drink and drive and/or don't wage your constitutional rights campaign on a soapbox beside where field sobriety tests are being conducted this would happen at all

These threads are always fun. Nice to watch a couple people so eager to surrender their rights to be a boot licker.

what a compelling argument. You should get arrested so you can present it to the courts.
