Because the majority think it is absurd and ridiculous.
Why do the same people who despise the ultra-conservative religious and those who are prejudiced against homosexuals and women go out of their way to defend Muslims who are, in fact, ultra conservative religious fanatics and who consider women and homosexuals 2nd class humans? Logic plays no role in their thought process. Their opinion are SOLELY based on defending the "outcast", regardless of how ridiculous the outcast may be.

Geez.
I don't have much sympathy for folks who leave their wife and children to be trans. This isn't even about Caitlyn Jenner, this is about middle-class/working-class men who leave their family behind to struggle without them. I understand that you may have an issue but you signed up for a family. If you didn't want a family, then you should have had the courage to say what you you are and not marry or procreate.

You're absolutely correct. There is all kinds of grey area where philosophy majors can debate about what is good and evil and whether or not these ideas are founded on something concrete and outside of ourselves or if they are simply us projecting our own interpretation on to an existing world.
