The law forbidding murder doesn't remove the ability of a potential victim to protect themselves like this gun-free zone crap does.

At least the 2nd time he's been busted for it. From the article:
"Stcyr has a previous arrest from 2017 for possession of a stolen firearm."

If he stole it then yes, it is somewhat difficult to know the province of second hand items though.
I once ended up with a stolen shotgun bought from someone I reasonably trusted who had unknowingly bought it from someone who had stolen it years before.

Now that's a reasonable point. Perhaps you should have started there?

quote:from what i understand, your question has more than one answer. you can carry into a private business because they should not know you are carrying, if they do you are already breaking the law. As far as private residence, property, vehicle, you have to alert the owner you are carrying. I believe this is for if law enforcement asked the owner if there is a firearm in the vehicle house, they should know.
And any private property where the owner forbids it, no?

I always laugh at the signs that say "Drug Free Zone" and "Gun Free Zone" around a school. Of course it is...also the signs talking about sex trafficking on the interstate. Maybe someone kidnapping some girl is going to see the sign and realize it is wrong and return her because of that sign. Sigh.

It's turned into BYOC

In case you were unaware, his shirt is made by Nike.

Wait I’m confused. How is the dude getting busted for bringing a gun into the no-gun zone an indictment against the no-gun zone policy?
Didn’t this policy just work out exactly as intended? You should probably pick another example that makes - not contradicts - the point you want to make.

You are the very problem with society... Don't worry, someone criminal you were trying to protect will come along one day and give you or a family member the taste of "paper protection" that was supposed to keep you safe.

Your logic is that criminals won't listen to gun free zones. By that logic, why have a law against murder? Hasn't stopped any murders, right?
Laws are a lot like locking your front door.
They keep honest people honest, but they will never prevent or deter criminals.
They exist to punish.

You think murder being Illegal hasn't stopped people from committing murder?

Why was it sitting on his lap. Im a strong pro gun guy, but it's just a moron who would do that

Yet another glaring problem with the Progressives. They stomp and scream for more laws against guns. Yet enforcing laws is “racist” and putting POC in jail when they break the law is wrong. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
