otherwise that's the kind of car that's meant to be used to chauffeur you around in so you should have a driver.

I'm glad you enjoyed my subtle OT baller jab.

But really, I am not really a fan of Lexus, even the LS. Briefly had a GS back in the day and then had that ES I mentioned. Just so boring to drive.

Those grills are god damn hideous.

What year did they switch to this? Someone should be pushed off a 60 story building for thinking that looked good.

I have an ES330 2005. I bought it in 2008. Has run Like a top since.

I feel like a fuddy duddy driving a car for this long, but I have really grown to like it.

It's a v6 and has some pick-up, but i still got an average of 31 MPG on my last long trip. ( 1300 miles round trip including a few days of city miles )

I bought an '05 ES 330 just like this at auction a couple months ago with 87,000 miles for a steal. It was such a nice fricking car I couldn't belive it. The first person that drove it bought it.

I really liked the look of the GS sedans of about 10 years ago...perfect size too.

I recently drove the new GS-F and was extremely underwhelmed--had a ton of bark but not much bite for $88k. The exhaust was friggin loud though!

Lexus shines on plush luxury, not ultimate performance (I'm not talking LSF here folks--that is a $400k exception).

Lexus is Japanese at its best--take care of them and you should get 20 years or 400k miles.

Is that Alabaster? My car is the same color.

ETA: Actually that looks like silver. Still a nice looking car.

I'm clearly in the minority, but I like the spindle grille over the 07-12 grille.

I think the new grilles look awesome. The pics that op is posting of the 2011 as being the "best looking" is bullshite. You can buy a corolla now that looks like that. Manufactures take chances and some hit and some don't. Obviously, outcry hasn't been bad enough to change the new grilles back to the blandness of the 90s. I like it.

I don't think there's a finer luxury car made than Lexus, quality wise.

I'll take a Bentley or a Rolls Royce

I actually had a 460L as a business vehicle a few years ago. It was bought from a wrecker service with zero title. Apparently the guy who owned it replaced every speaker in the levinson system with focal and dynamatted the whole car.

Thing was like a tomb. Quiet to the point where it was mildly dangerous.

Had a 2000 RX 300 I drove until the transmission went out( bought off my FIL who towed a Boston Whaler and other stuff with it). Had over 2000,000 miles on it...I miss that car, it was old, but damn, it was a smooth and comfortable ride. I am looking to get another one...Hard to find one without high mileage because owners keep them forever.

My dad has the IS 250...people always ask him if he wants to sell it. Hope I get to inherit it.

I have a 2017 ES. Needed a comfy car for work commute that got okay mileage and didn't need premium fuel. This car is perfect in that price range. In fact, there is no other luxury brand that came close (although admittedly, who is looking to pinch pennies with mileage while buying a "luxury" car) Grill certainly wasn't the selling factor, but I don't think it's as awful as others say. Only had it a few months, but had my old car parked for a while before selling. Went back to drive the old one for a long work trip and quickly realized how nice the Lexus is to drive.

The LS definitely has a sweet interior layout. I'd probably not drive it myself, but it's a vehicle I think my wife would enjoy once we get older and aren't lugging around kids.

Now Lexus really put out a dud with the 17 RX350. We are looking for a mid sized SUV this weekend and stopped to look at the RX last night. Wife has wanted an RX for years and it's finally time to trade in the Tahoe. They just made this year's model so damned ugly. I can get past the grill (did on the ES and actually like it on the GX). But all the other "agressive" lines on the RX make it look like a car that will be dated very quickly in regards to style.

10 to 12 years ago, I rode in an LX that was apparently like that from the factory. I felt almost too detached from traffic and the experience of being in a vehicle.

I'm starting to poke around for an 08 or 09 Land Cruiser. What I'm realizing is that the LX 570s of the same year/mileage are actually cheaper, more plentiful, and have WAY better interiors. I would much rather have a Toyota than a Lexus - less flashy - but I'm leaning toward the LX now. I'll just swap out the 20" rims for LC wheels and BFG a/t tires.
