There are sites dedicated to this.

Plans the routes and gives times.

Google "EV Trip Planner"

Is it a Tesla or non-Tesla?

None except for sleep.

Charging in most vehicles gets you 80% in less than 1 hour now, right?

Who said I hated it? I'm looking at buying one.

A trip to Houston can take an extra 3 hours bc of taking 1-2 stops to charge a Tesla so just extrapolate that...

Provided that you have a Tesla and the facility has a supercharger along with being available at the time you stop.

Looks like it would take about 36 hours to complete if everything goes smoothly with charging.

It says driving time is 20 hours. I knew that.

I also had to set cabin temp to 68 (from 72) and outdoor temp to 85 (from 72). Estimated the weight of passengers and left "0" for wind since I have no idea how much there will be.

This is the help I'm trying to get, thanks.

I don't have any experience with managing a electric on a trip.

If I need to "top off" can I do it while getting lunch along the way? Will any 120v plugin do? Will Starks let me charge free from their outlets?

I'm making a 24 hour trip starting on Saturday but I don't have to worry about this gay shite because my vehicle uses gas.

Not even sure if it will be worth it.

quote:

That being said, relying on 120V outlets does come with a drawback: charging speed. Level 1 chargers take multiple days to fully recharge EVs, and the Volkswagen ID.4 is no exception. Fully charging the ID.4 with a Level 1 charger would take approximately 60 hours.

You might want to choose one if the sites/apps that allow you to input the car and capacity then.

If you’re going to go by ground that whole way, take the train. Goes directly from NOLA to NYC then a layover to catch another train to Boston.

Not worth the effort for anything under a couple hours. It’s like 5 miles per hour of charging.

You need to focus on finding level 2 overnight charging and level 3 on the road.
