You feed them, put on a clean diaper, wrap them up and put them in their bed. If you pick them up every time they cry, what are they going to do? Cry.
If they are crying, you definitely go check on them. But sometimes you have to put them back in the bed while they are still crying. They will eventually tire out and go to sleep.
Hardest thing to do I know.
And you will look back in just a few years and say where did the time go. Enjoy every second of that time with your children. It passes by very very quickly.

I’m going to be very clear here.
Be very careful with the habits you set with you kids sleeping. They will HAUNT you for.....well hell I really don’t know.
My first kid we used to rock him till he fell asleep. Then we ALWAYS had to rock him to fall asleep. Then we would let him sleep with us. Now he ALWAYS wants to sleep with us. He turned 5 in July. We either A) have to law with him I’m
His bed until he falls asleep. Or B) let him sleep
With us. We could do C) but I guess locking them in their room is frowned upon. But EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I’m talking 99 out of 100 nights he comes into our room between midnight and 2am.
My youngest. He was in the NICU for a month. I think he got good sleeping habits from there. We kept them up. Now he is 2.5 and I tell him to go to bed and he gets in his bed and every now and then I have to talk to him through his monitor and tell him to laydown and go to sleep and he will.
Two different styles of parenting in dealing with sleep. Equals two different styles of sleeping kids in my house. Maybe it’s just their personalities. Or maybe it’s because of habits we allowed. Either way be careful.

Holy shite. $1400 for a bassinet. I’m gonna look into it though, may even be worth it at this point.
You can rent them if it's just a temporary problem...

Trying to get the finally asleep kid out of the car and into the house without waking it was like defusing an armed nuclear device.

Man - enjoy every moment. The day will come when you look back at these times and miss them.

My boy is a wild child but thankfully has always been a good sleeper. I'm thankful for that daily.

Put kid in a bouncer/swing and turn the vacuum cleaner on behind them.

sounds like the perfect time to smoke a joint.

We’d just strap the car seat to the washing machine with a slightly unbalanced load. Worked just as good as a drive.
