I grew up in New Orleans though, I learned to not bring attention to yourself if you're going to be a sitting duck.

I can listen to music in an air conditioned environment inside the house, it’s definitely better on the back porch but in SE Louisiana that’s a short window for everyone to be comfortable. It’s either to hot or cold, enough to drink or smoke and it doesn’t matter but that’s not for everyone.

Yea, you are an alcoholic who doesn’t want to face the household reality. BUT that’s your little respite from the hard real world. Invite the kids in and jam to to some not offensive music and enjoy yoursef

Can you explain the need/want todo this?

My neighbor, who looks 23 and has a kid in the way, will do this for hours in his S-10. Mostly when his ol' lady isn't home.

That's embarrassing. That's what the inside of your house or garage is for.
