Drivers in a 3 lane, with 2 lanes deadstop backedup, that go 20 mph over in 3rd open lane

If I am in a 3 lane one way on highway or a busy road, and 2 of the lanes are backed up 25 cars long, and a car decides to drive like a maniac coming up to this dead stop traffic area in the 3rd lane going 20 mph over (which there's usually a reason 3rd lane is empty maybe roadblock), and I see them coming like that, I always switch lanes to get in front of them and cut them off. Just to teach a lesson. If they hit me, they owe the money. You can not be going 25 mph over in a deadstop area like this if your lane is clear but the other 2 lanes are 25 cars deep deadstop. Doing my job to attempt to better civilization. There are always going to be cars that switch lanes. You can't expect others to not switch lanes just because you want to go 25 mph over when others are deadstop.

In addition to people that are 100 ft from a red light, but decide to hammer on acceleration going 20 mph over then proceed to slam on brakes at the red light, do you just hate your life? What causes one to do that? In the end, it just hurts you because you're wasting more gas doing that to be in exact same place if just brake.

There are 3 types of cars I see do this: Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and massive F-350 type trucks with grill guards. These 3 drivers tailgate everyone, speed, and just drive wrecklessly. They just suck. Some people tend to forget that you're driving a 4,000+ lb hunk of metal faster than a horse at 40+ mph that can easily kill you. That these are real life death situations.

I truly believe that everyone of these types of drivers just hasn't had a big wreck yet, a life altering wreck. Some won't have liability, most all of these kinds of drivers won't have collision coverage to protect their own vehicle costs. I believe all these types of drivers will at one point in their life get in a massive wreck and will only learn once they have to fork out of pocket for their vehicles cost. That's only thing that'll change them. Nothing else but a 5 figure bill. I'd say 30% don't have liability (especially the chargers and challengers) and 75% don't have collision, just enough to keep them legal.

Good luck with that. Maybe they’re at fault for speeding, or maybe you’re at fault for cutting them off.

In any case, seems a bit stupid to intentionally cut someone off out of spite. It’s one thing if you choose not to let them in, but pulling out in front of someone for no reason is just.. dumb.

You can get severely injured or killed by doing this and for what? Some moral superiority complex? You’re a fricking idiot

So you take an already dangerous situation and make it more dangerous? You’re no better than the people you’re ranting about. You’re not the law! Get fricked!

Good to know there are fellow Regulators on the road alongside me! You are doing good work and all others of our guild commend you. We are the equalizers who fight to stamp out aggressive, wreckless, and low IQ habits of drivers across America. Thank you and keep it up!

My two fiddy is 7,000lbs of metal, and I had over $20k in damage caused by a dickhead Tesla driver that pulled out in front of me when I was doing about 12 MPH, and he may have been doing 10-15.

The proper way to do this is to park your Nissan Micra across both lanes to prevent people from passing and cutting the line. However, there is actually a book that addresses this using science. You're old, I'm old, but I read books to make sure I'm right.

Funny how you didn't mention Nissans, cars with pipes, etc.

It is most efficient to use the merge lane until it ends. However, we also live in a world where fellow morons see a "left lane ends, merge right" sign 1000 yards before the merge, and do absolutely nothing. They're getting the bird, and they're getting the appropriate attitude as I know what they're not paying attention to.

When was the last time you even polite honked (quick beep) at someone to let them know they were arseholes?

I drive aggressively, and attentively, because every vehicle on the road is a threat to me. I had a Prius, of all things, shadow me on 71 between Bastrop and near I-10, that vacillated between 63 and 90 mph. WTF? These speed variations were not due to going through towns, it was consistent 75 mph. I passed them, or they passed me no less than seven times in 30 miles (I stopped keeping track .)

I want to upvote, but I will be eternally judged if I do.

F it, the upvote is not voting for bad things, just on truth.

OP was far too long for a traffic complaint thread.
