I am a Ford guy and love the Mustang but for that year class I agree. The weak arse mustangs they produced from the mid 70s to the late 90s or so should all be burned. They are a blight on the Mustangs that came before them.

The IROC camaros are hideous. The other camaros aren't great but not nearly as bad. Trans Am definitely the winner of this bunch.

Whenever I see an IROC I always think of Adam Sandler on SNL "Good Morning, Brooklyn". It stands for Italian Retard Out Cruising.

I bought a brand new 5.0 LX, modified and took it to Germany in ‘88. Drove the shite out of it for over 3 years. It was awesome. Sold it to a German after 3 1/2 years there for exactly what I paid for it brand new. Germans LOVE the current GT 5.0 and the 5.2 flat plane 8200 RPM GT 350s.

I hated all the plastic shite hanging off the GT 5.0s at that time.

That era the mustang was the best built car during that period.

That not saying much as the quality of the big 3 vehicles was not that good during the early 80’s.

GM had some serious transmission issues with that model Camero and firebird.

I have an 82 Firebird - can't restore it because some key body parts are unique to that model and are unavailable.

It still runs.

The IROC was sex on wheels when new and the TA's looked pretty bad arse as well. Rattling T-tops be damned I'm taking those two.

Mustang looked like the shitbox it started out as.

Everyone I knew thought the Fox Body 87-93 Mustangs were sex on wheels back in the day. The 93 Cobra made panties drop

The 87-93 Mustang gt was very underrated as far as horsepower to the wheels.
Would get sideways at any speed with the 5 speed. They were very dangerous vehicles.

I am just speaking from personal experience. I had a 90 and 93 Cobra.
Both 5 speeds and they would get very sideways under 40 mph. I know you were referring to my comment about "any speed".

Did you have snow tires on them?

A 4 cylinder turbo Malibu has more power than a 90 Mustang and no one claims they are crazy fast.

Anyone that claims any 80's-early 90's car is fast has never driven a fast car.
