You can say the same thing about water or food or first marriages of retirement plans

Well, water I do piss out, but it doesn't cost me near what alcohol does

Most foods I crap out, and although they can get expensive, eliminating food vs. alcohol wouldn't be a wise move

Ive never pissed marriage or retirement down the urinal daily, but over a lifetime both will provide far more of my physical needs than had I invested the same cost in alcohol

I’m a big bag of booze. Late 30s, job kids, wife. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks sober and it’s about time. Just happy I didn’t end up in hospital, get DUI, or any other “rock bottom” moment

Drank way more the I should for a lot of years. Don’t miss it. Don’t miss lying, rearranging money, hiding/replacing booze, being useless at work or at home. Love booze but have no desire to drink

It's been 20 years since my last drop of alcohol. One of my best moves ever.

It took me a long time to learn this but when I know I’m going to be drinking, I drink 32 oz of water before and 32 oz before I go to bed. Haven’t had a hang over since I started doing that. Wish I had learned that in college.

I figured that out in my early 30's. Quit drinking entirely and have been happy ever since.

Party while you are young and know when to quit before that 10 with beer glasses turns into a 2 you are married too.

That is today’s older people’s PSA now back to the show.

So quit. I did. One of the best decisions I ever made.

I am starting to have no choice but to lay off at least a little. It has started giving me horrible heartburn towards the end of the night once I’ve had several, and it carries over to the next day.

Essentially, I can’t drink more than one day in a row. Vacations are rough if I try.

A couple years ago, after 7 days in a row of drinking at the beach, my wife and I were sitting at avenue pub and I was legitimately gagging everytime I took a sip of my beer. Took that as a sign I wasn't cut out for alcoholism.

Aren't those medications pretty bad for you? I take Pepcid Complete but it doesn’t help in alcohol situations like it does for regular heartburn.

I thought maybe I just needed to switch the type of drink, but it happens with everything. Google says it’s because for some people, being drunk relaxes a muscle that normally keeps stomach acid from reaching your esophagus. Bummer.
