Aren't those medications pretty bad for you? I take Pepcid Complete but it doesn’t help in alcohol situations like it does for regular heartburn.

My doctor says 2 Prilosec every morning is perfectly fine

I’ve been doing that for years and no issues. If I skip a day or 2 I start to feel the heartburn creeping on. Pop 2 Prilosec and it usually gone within an hour or less.

Buy your Prilosec in bulk at Costco, much cheaper that way

Once you hit a certain age, it's just not as fun and not worth it. Hangovers last longer and longer the older you get. Things I used to think were funny while drinking just embarrass me know.

Everyone metabolizes alcohol differently.
But.... the trick is, get prescription of Adderal. Take a few while drinking, one when you get up and you wont have the hangover.

At some point it just plain wears you out.

Have to give old drunks some credit, that’s some legit stamina and endurance power.

Mid 20s were when the 2 day hangovers started. First day is just awful with headaches and nausea then the second day is not as bad, but always feels like a haze. Such a fun time.

I still drink but not like I used to. Thankfully weed has lowered my alcohol consumption. Hell I am lighting a bowl of a sativa bud and drinking coffee on my front porch right now.

I think I had just turned 30 when I woke up with a massive headache and had to pull over to vomit on the way to work only after 4 beers (high ABV, but still).

I was so confused as to what was happening.

Your body just hurts all over after a while. Once alcohol gets in your bloodstream, it delivers it everywhere. I could list about 20 huge problems that come with the days following a good binge. Everything from psychological to physical.

Taking a ppi daily increase your risk for anemia and infections. It’s not “perfectly fine” and should be avoided if there are alternatives, such as quitting being a fricking drunk.

How old are you? This is kind of becoming how it is for me too.. just turned 32. Drank Friday night - felt like shite all day Saturday until about 7 PM, albeit I did go to bed at 5:30 AM.

I was golden through my 20's. My 30's is when the hangovers got bad for me. I'm 37 now and really don't have much of a desire to drink and party anymore. It's really odd. I don't even enjoy socializing anymore. I find myself looking for excuses not to hang out with my own friends.

Your gay bar knowledge is impressive. I had to Google to find an address.

I don't get smashed very often anymore so I avoid hangovers for the most part. The only ones I think I've had in 2020 were after the Natty, and after my first night in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The latter happens every year though, I'll get smashed Friday then be almost fully recovered for the ride Sunday night, and be miserable/tired lundi gras.
