So I’ve apparently got the Covid. Felt like shite yesterday driving to the camp. . Ran fever @ about 100.5 last night. Felt like poo all day. Mainly just tired, no taste or smell and burning/dripping sinuses. I’m pretty much in isolation and can call off any would be visitors so I intend to ride it out here. Question for the OT doctors: can I drink whiskey? Tia

I'd go ahead and take the chance. Either way, you'll either feel better or won't give a shite that you are sick.

Alcohol weakens the immune system, so you may have the coco sniffles for four days instead of two.

You should limit your alcohol intake to 6 ounces per day, alcohol content of no more than 3.25% allowed, must only drink between the hours of 8AM and 10AM unless you are drinking for essential purposes.

Absolutely not. Covid dehydrate you. Alcohol would only further dehydrate you. Best to stay away from the drink until the Covid has fully run it's course.

Plus, alcohol impairs judgement, which might cause you to make decisions that are not favorable towards keeping Covid at bay.

Yes, and you should. Start out with something cheap and strong, like Old Forester 100 proof. Do a shot or two. Then switch to mixed drinks. Ginger Ale or Sprite if you're wanting to go to sleep. Coke if you're wanting to stay awake a little longer. Basically, treat it like every Saturday afternoon/evening I've had since March.
