AE and my feet don't work, I have 5 pair on the closet that all look like shite in just a little bit of time. My favorite everyday shoe is the Cole Haan Nike Air ones they put out like three years ago, sharp, comfortable and just won't tear up

They have a ton of shoes here that are priced better than Amazon and Zappos. You should be able to get what you want on the clearance side. Also in store usually has good prices. I used to be a J&M guy, then I noticed the shoes did hold up, the backs all came apart, mostly finish issues. Last two years, I have bought shoes from here and really no issues.

I scope the clearance pages from time to time just picked up some $150 Cole Haan's for $27.50. Snagged a couple Tommy Hilfiger suits on a 90% clearance sale last month. Took em to a tailor to get a little adjustment. Suit and shoes combo for under $100 is a win in my book.

I have a pair of these and I would say they are too informal looking to be anything more than "business casual". Comfy as hell and fairly unique looking though.

Shoebank.com
i said allen edmonds shoe barn.... but this is the correct site.
i was hesistant in spending $300 on a pair of shoes, but i'm in them 5 days a week so i needed a few good pairs. Tried the shoebank and i looked hard to see the "seconds" part of the pair i received and couldn't. I love them and will be buying another soon. Phasing out all the shite show that is Johnston Murphy now. Spent $165 each on a few pairs, none of which had soles that lasted longer than 7-8mths. My initial pair of Allen Edmonds soles still basically have no wear after 4 months. Paid $165 for them on shoe bank

Having shoe trees which you put in immediately after taking your shoes off everyday is critical to your shoes lasting a long time, particularly if you're wearing them every day. They wick away all the moisture from the upper and reshape it.
$25 will drastically extend the life of your shoes.
