I read this as your wife died banging some other dude and you yelled at her dead body. Had to take a 2nd look.

I remember my dreams and the people present.
The dreams always involve overcoming a weird or scary situation from the past like being lost in a big city, finding my way through a train station, a bad airplane landing, a house in dangerous disrepair, surviving college or getting lost on the back roads where I grew up.
It's unnerving to wake up from a dream where I was happy because a deceased friend was there.

Yea. I re-read my post. Confusing lol.
The love of my life being cold
And apathetic is , I guess, my worst fear?
Who wants to start a daily dream thread?

I use to lucid dream. But I got stuck in one and stopped. I knew what direction I was laying, knew what time it was ( cause I had just went to sleep), knew my wife was against my back, etc. started hollering (in my dream) and hitting and pinching myself. After a long while I woke up drenched in sweat. If I would have died they would have said , “ at least he died peacefully in his sleep “.

I only remember them if they're very good or very bad.

Mine used to be about a class I quit attending after deciding to drop it but procrastinated on dropping it officially. I eventually forget about it completely only to remember it after the deadline had already passed.
I think I only put off dropping one class until the deadline to drop, but it affected my dreams for years.

I pretty much remember all my dreams, 95% of them are reoccurring in some form or fashion between about 10 or so different types of themes

Maybe we are retarded.
I can still remember a bunch of dreams throughout my child hood.
Sometimes they are so realistic it takes me a bit to shake out the very real emotions those dreams illicit .

you can become an expert.
your subconscious is arranging this.
no one but you needs to know. journal them. see patterns. dream interpretation by various systems is on the net.
maybe after you've got a years worth down on paper pay a psychologist to wade through it with you.
I rarely remember mine. most are a nightmare of an empty grey city focused on public transportation, a bus or train. usually train.
either way the nightmare is that its my first day on a job and after work I need to make connections to get home. its a heartless dream. no vegetation. no life.
ugh. hmmm. I don't think I've had it since I retired.
best to you.

I must be one of the odd people who loves hearing other peoples dreams. I like that bizarre shite.
I was a court reporter for quite a while, and I had recurring nightmares of arriving at a deposition without my stenograph machine. I have to take everything down in longhand on a notebook and I can’t keep up and the attorneys are getting angry at me.
I have nightmares that I’m driving and I’m about to get in an accident and when I press the brake, the pedal goes straight to the floor and there’s no stopping the car and I wake up right before the crash.
When I lived in New Orleans for 20 years and dated a probation/parole officer, I had constant nightmares about being shot in the back, running up the streets of Uptown. He told me so many horror stories of his “clients”, plus the bad crime there, I was always dreaming of being murdered.
Nightmares of plane crashes. Nightmares of gigantic tidal waves coming over me on the beach, drowning me and going all the way over the condos on the beach.
It’s neverending!

From your description, I don’t think you’re having a lucid dream. You’re just really rembering as you wake up. A true lucid dream, I’ve had one ever, is the most amazing thing in the whole world. You can do anything!
