To me it sounded like Trump is ready to open and prepare us for it. He just kinda kept saying basically we can’t stay closed! He and even the docs were pretty positive.
It will get worse — deaths will happen as many are serious on vents and many of those don’t get weaned from them and end up dying.
It’ll be tough but not unexpected.

Dr. Fauci says COVID19 could become seasonal
Did anyone not expect this?
It’s the flu. Which is seasonal.
They’ll develop a vaccine and a test and it’ll just be a part of life and it sucks for high risk people who die from it.
3x more people have died from the flu than from Covid this year already

At current pace, we are about 11 days away from surpassing 2020 flu deaths.
That's taking China's bunk numbers at face value AND assuming that none of the "flu" deaths in January and February were covid deaths

With all due respect to Dr. Fauci and the entirety of the CDC you’ve completely dropped the ball from the opening kick off and have been trying to get back into the game ever since. But with a shitty D and an anemic offense you’re down big going into halftime, so what you gonna do? Stick w/ the old play book or give the young guys a chance to play & open the play book that the young coordinators wanna run & go out swinging? You’re trying to tell me that with a budget of $11.1 BILLION for 2019 that the best you could come up w/ was a direct play call from 1918? He has continually scoffed at any possible effective treatment options whether that be hydroxy-chloroquine + Zithromax, Remdesivir, etc.,etc. without a clinical double blind months long study as if we have time for that? A vaccine? See ya’ in 2022 folks it’s gonna be a bumpy ride, but have faith in us, we will deliver you a safe and thoroughly vetted vaccine? If I were a betting man come May 1 he will be given an opportunity to ride off into the sunset with a great deal of thanks & appreciation for his decades of selfless service to the country or he’ll be unceremoniously dismissed by the Trump administration. It’s time for some new blood and I think the young guys from John Hopkins and the private sector is where our greatest hope lies.

I love it for like 15 minutes and then can’t take it any more. Daily dose of extremity I guess. Keeps us healthy.

That is an exact quote ladies and gentleman. Our president speaks more poorly than a 6 year old
Dead on. He’s the worst speaking president in the history of our country and that’s saying something after hearing George W. Bush.

I love how the people who all claimed he was fascist, are now calling for jailing people who gather in groups or go outside without a mask.

Not sure if y’all have to deal with academic physicians much but Faucci is the perfect example of one. They are all about CYA and trying to never make a decision.

Dear Lord, at least he doesn’t have Alzheimer’s like Biden.

He sounds smarter than you

If it’s seasonal, why not just let heard immunity grow, work out asses off to develop a vaccine, and move the frick on with our lives. Does he want shite locked down forever?

Probably, but to be fair he probably doesnt give a damn about the economy. Hes worried about the virus, and someone else has to blend that with worrying about the economy

I can’t believe 2 people actually downvoted this post! Everything stated above is 100% right.

I think they realize test results from backlogged tests will be coming back.
