Doordash: the driver cancelled my order

Ordered food on Doordash
An hour later, i reach out wondering what was going on.
They tell me that the driver cancelled the order. WTH? Never received any notification on this until I called.
Their wonderful response was to refund and offer $10.
Anyone have this issue? How can the driver just cancel an order like this? Dumb driver must not know or care that I can see that the driver's car did not move for hours during the order.

I’ve never had that issue. In my experience Door Dash is much better than Waitr. But I don’t use either service often.

Son does (did) doordash. Got in an accident (his fault of course). Had someone’s food with him at the time. He notified the person who ordered it and delivered it after the cops left.

A. live at the end of a half mile, unpaved, rutted driveway or
B. are a really shitty tipper.

Happen to me a few months back with Door dash or Uber eats. Order never came. They gave me a refund plus $30-40 dollars for future order.
