I have always despised Aldean as an artist. This song is no different. But I respect the fact that he refuses to back down and cower. We need a lot more of that.

The conspiracy theorist in me (I am not one of those crazies on the political board, I am just saying there is what likely happened then there is "you never know, this could have happened"), but the song was out 1 month before the video. The video comes out and right away the controversy starts.
I read something about all the views it has, its a lot. I don't think the song did that well so I assume that means they project the video wouldn't do well.
Since posting videos now is a revenue stream for artist.. How can you generate a lot of views to a video that is projected not to have enough to produce the revenue they were hoping? Like anything else, you create controversy. Nothing sells like controversy.

People who are perpetual victims will find racism in anything. Weak minded at its best…

I posted a question on the page before this. Since its at the bottom it might get missed, its something I seriously want to know if that's really a thing.

Bruh, they have people on this board who thinks Obama is gay and Michelle is trans and their kids adopted.
I didn't say I 100% believed what I said about this song, it is more of a "is it possible?".

Bottom line is that you are not allowed to critize the GF protests. If you do, then you are racist.. signed.. Democrats..

It’s because their definition of racist is being a good person.
Posted on 7/25/23 at 3:53 am to SwampyWaters
Probably because it sounds like someone shitting into a microphone, while a bunch of tone deaf retards play instruments with their genitalia

The last lynching in the US was about 70 years ago genius. What other made up reality is going to offend you? The Left acts like it occurs every weekend in the South and based off of your idiotic reply you probably believe the same. Watch out for those sundown towns as well and the nightly Klan rallies!

Segregation ended over 60 years ago in most places, quit pretending you know or have ever met one unless you are in your early 70’s. It’s comical how stupid the Left is on the topics they champion

The African Americans I know are laughing their asses off over this. They also can't see the big deal.

explain the racism in the song
Posted on 7/25/23 at 4:53 pm to Klark Kent
Jester, where in the song is race even mentioned?
hint…..it isn’t. it’s you connecting those crimes with people of a certain race.

Hank Jr did a much better and more subtle job of conveying the message

As hard as it is to understand, folks who like to shoot each other to solve any little problem they may have, actually don't like it when other people have a problem with them doing that. I think it has always been that way. In every gunslinger movie I ever saw, the gunslinger would shoot you for no reason and then might shoot anyone who questioned their action.

I ain't nothin' but a simple man
They call me a redneck I reckon that I am
But there's things going on
That make me mad down to the core.
I have to work like a dog to make ends meet
There's crooked politicians and crime in the street
And I'm madder'n hell and I ain't gonna take it no more.
We tell our kids to just say no
Then some panty waist judge lets a drug dealer go
Slaps him on the wrist and then he turns him back out on the town.
Now if I had my way with people sellin' dope
I'd take a big tall tree and a short piece of rope
I'd hang 'em up high and let 'em swing 'til the sun goes down
Well, you know what's wrong with the world today
People done gone and put their Bible's away
They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land
The good book says it so I know it's the truth
An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth
You better watch where you go and remember where you been
That's the way I see it I'm a Simple Man.
Now I'm the kinda man that'd not harm a mouse
But if I catch somebody breakin in my house
I've got twelve guage shotgun waiting on the other side
So don't go pushing me against my will
I don't want to have to fight you but I dern sure will
So if you don't want trouble then you'd better just pass me on by
As far as I'm concerned there ain't no excuse
For the raping and the killing and the child abuse
And I've got a way to put an end to all that mess
Just take them rascals out in the swamp
Put 'em on their knees and tie 'em to a stump
Let the rattlers and the bugs and the alligators do the rest
You know what's wrong with the world today
People done gone and put their Bible's away
They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land
