This line of thinking is why the country is falling apart.
It's quite the opposite if we are being honest. Up until the last 30 years if you asked someone their religious or political leanings they wouldve told you it's none of your business. Politics in particular used to be a very taboo subject. Many considered it disrespectful to ask. In no way is this country better now than it was 30 years ago. Because everyone believes everyone else gives a frick about their opinion. We don't.

You forgot sex
In my youth people in polite company did not discuss 3 things.
Religion
Politics
Sex
If you were raised Catholic you had "reminders" about these rules

Arent we doing that enough now-a-days? This refrain is typical of those with terminal political brain.

Nothing about Christianity is represented in today’s politics.

Do whatever you want, just don't expect a pity party when people don't want to put up with your victim hood bullshite.

Motherfricker i am not religious OR right leaning.. at all.. But i cant stand when ANYONE talks about religion or poltical BS at work or in mixed company…. It’s “cringe af” as the kids say, and just downright dumb.. Keep ur opinions to yourself, that doesnt just apply if you are Liberal or atheist or evangelical or conservative- that applies to everyone .

Talking about religion or politics in public is annoying AF regardless of which side its coming from.

Who here has ever heard someone say you aren’t supposed to talk about politics and religion in public?
My dad born in the late 30's. Growing up in the 70's/80's he said you never talk politics/religion/money in public.
Nobody cares about your political or religious views and if you're openly/constantly talking about it in public your going to isolate yourself from friends and family. People who do this are fanatical and brainwashed by politics and religion. You're being controlled by what you see on the news and social media.
Religion and politics relies on fear to control people. I choose not to live my life in fear so I ignore both.

I personally enjoy when someone tells everyone about their conspiracy theory of the day in a group setting. Nothing impresses your wife’s coworkers more than trying to convince them Michelle Obama is really a man at the office Christmas party.
