Damn Walker PD. Luckily my only run-in with them was the first day I moved there. I had just finished unloading the moving truck and had to run into the office. I honestly did not realize where the school zones were and was doing 5 mph over around where the baseball field is basically when you're well past the major foot traffic. I got stopped and explained the situation and the cop told me "Well, consider this your big welcome to Walker" as he handed me the ticket.
That's a dick move. If a cop sees someone in this situation, goes over and talks to them and is made aware its someone new moving in, simply telling you what law you were breaking is all that's needed, but I am sure he has to give out so many tickets, etc which is all bullshite.

Yes. Some LEO's should come arrest Cavalier for picking the fight, arrest whoever tased ole baw, and then arrest whoever kneed him multiple times while he was incapacitated. 3-4 of them need to go live at Angola if true.
The body cams should tell the whole story.

He thought his child was dead. No one knows how someone would respond in that situation

I was talking about the arresting officer that the lady knew... Read much?
And Blake and his boys must be in here downvoting away!

I know 5 or 6 cops and I swear only one of them has any critical thinking skills whatsoever. They're basically drones at their jobs.

For what purpose? Was he required to show ID just because a cop asked for it?
It can vary by state, but even in "right to identify" states an officer has to "reasonably articulate" that you are either suspected of having committed a crime, are in the process of committing a crime, or will be imminently committing a crime. They have to articulate that to you, even in a right to identify state. They do not have the legal authority to just walk up to you and demand identification.

He's referring to the cop.

not at all. Won't be the first job he loses against his will for his behavior.

Cops get hung up on ID because if you have warrants or provide different information than what your ID says, they can explain away what many times ends up being an unconstitutional detainment.

I have a walker PD story
Couple years ago there was a wreck eastbound I12 and Waze took me thru walker on some road I’ve never been on before. I had bought a new truck the day before, and hadn’t really figured out all the controls yet. Bumper to bumper approaching a light, and I tried to flash my headlights to let someone in from a driveway…when I did so I guess I turned off my headlights LOL. Walker cop sees me, pulls up behind me as the traffic starts moving and lights me up. There’s no shoulder or anywhere else to pull over so I put my right blinker on and started looking for a driveway to pull into.
This dipshit decides I’m trying to flee and as soon as I come to a stop he flies out his vehicle, weapon drawn and squares up at my window. I utter a WTF as he’s screaming at me to get out and as soon as I open the door he drags me out and puts me on the ground, again gun drawn.
I try to make my case but he ain’t having it. Plus he evidently called for backup because two more cop cars show up. They start talking, one guy lets me up and walks me away to hear my side of the story. While we are doing that the other cops have to physically restrain Rambo from coming after me again. It was getting comical at this point.
Finally after about an hour of this they let me go. I asked officer friendly to give me the badge number of the psycho and he told me I’d be better off leaving this alone LOL

Correct. In La if pulled over on a TS and the officer asks for your ID you have to comply. You can be arrested for obstruction if you fail to do so.
Now calling 911 for you kid drowning in a pool is going to difficult for the officer to “reasonably articulate” the homeowner was involved in a crime. I’m no lawyer but the City and PD are looking at getting buttfricked it court.
