He is who he is and is going to continue to be that person. Will the league love it? No. Will players love it? No. But they will still go to play basketball in LA for millions of dollars. Until the nba decides to take action this story isn't new in any way shape or form. They haven't given any indication that they will be acting.
The dude doesn't like black people. It's a shame and unfortunate but the nba has never taken the stance that it's against their rules as long as he isn't violating any laws.

You're blind if you can't see what's coming. Previous allegations were just that - allegations. Now he's been recorded in his own words. The NBA is investigating, that never happened before. He's front page news around the world, that never happened before. We'll know more in a few days, but I don't see how he can continue to own the team. This is not going away.

NBA and Clipper fans will continue to be NBA and Clipper fans. Those who aren't basketball fans will continue to not be basketball fans. The advertisers will put up a "strong" front, but will still keep in advertising because it's profitable to do so. The rebel-rousers will beat their drums and tell everybody else who they feel are incapable of forming their own opinions on the situation just how OUTRGED they should be, at least until the next "controversy" rolls around (which in the US attention span should be about 3-4 weeks). Life will go on

I haven't listened to the whole recording so my impression may be invalid but:
So rich white guy has young golddigger gf. She is of mixed nonwhite heritage but he is supposed to be racist? He knows his old as can't keep her pleased so he doesn't mind if she cheats with black guys or bring them to the house but he's supposed to be racist? He just doesn't want her to be seen publicly cheating/cuckolding him but he's supposed to be racist?
I could very much be wrong b/c haven't heard the tape so please feel free to clue me in.

There were allegations from his own players, allegations from coaches allegations in sworn court documents allegations from the 80s 90s 00s and now today's. There have been pieces written by every major publication. Google "Donald sterling racist" and exclude results less than a week old..... It's been documented in books, magazines, on the web, espn- it'll be frowned upon, and he might even see a minor punishment but it would be shocking if he was forced out of the league.... The finals will get a ton of attention and then the general public will forget about the nba two days later, and with that this will fade as have the stack of other reports about him.
