Here is what would have been killed in Mongolia, the Argali.
The horror! It is the largest wild sheep species in the world.
Protecting the trophy does not prevent subsequently butchering the animal.
Night hunting is lame, though.

The Argali Sheep is on no endangered species list.
It isn’t even on a threatened species list.
It’s conservation status is “near threatened”.

It states the hunt was purchased at an NRA event in 2015 prior to the presidency. So this had nothing to do with politics if so.

Has anyone got a link saying this is an endangered species? Because the IUCN Red List has it as "near threatened", so not even threatened much less endangered.
