First off, this is not an endangered species. Its listed as one step below "least concern" at "near threatened." Which means it's got a loooooong way to go before it can even be considered in trouble.
Second, the money spent by him in one weekend in that little town was probably more than they see in a year. Anyone ask the citizens there if they would trade the sheep for the cash to get it back?

You think these third world countries are really spending this money on conservation?
If they can make bank on guided hunts? You bet your arse they do.
Do you even Africa?

Not endangered, threatened.
And someone was going to kill it anyway. There are a specific number of permits issued every year. If it wasnt him it would have been some other rich guy with an itch to scratch.
Big game trophy hunting isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it serves its purpose.

I wonder how often hunting permits are granted retroactively. Looks like the choices were to get a permit retroactively or be accused of poaching.

Given the other inaccuracies in the article, I doubt the permit was truly issued retroactively. Why would Trump Jr. even risk the possibility of being accused for poaching. He can swing purchasing a permit.

I think killing animals for sport alone is wrong.
