This thread had all my triggers: private v. public schools, NOLA crime stories, Jesuit envy, which girls schools were sluttier, Ben Franklin druggie allegations, Mr.LSU lies...But by the time I get through 23 pages I'm exhausted and all the exaggerations and unfounded opinions have been exposed. Nope, it is another deacon that’s retiring. Deacon Coney is still going strong. I haven’t seen the protesters outside recently. Maybe they protest at masses that I’m not attending, maybe it’s too hot, or maybe it’s because the pastor set up speakers outside that broadcasts the services and they don’t want to hear it! Fighting fire with fire!

And just for reference, I believe DLS was one of the 1st area high schools that opened an 8th grade back in the 70s. My brother chose DLS for that 1 reason.

I'm not claiming you said Jesuit would move their entire campus to Shaw's campus, I know what you're saying about having a satellite campus on the WB.

I'm just questioning your claim about Jesuit purchasing Shaw.

The handful of Dominican grads I've met seem to be bright people. If I lived in New Orleans, I would certainly consider sending my daughter there.

I don't really give a hoot about the rivalries between Catholic schools in New Orleans. They all seem to be solid except for Rummel. Bunch of weirdos and slackers over there.

Do me this, actually explain why you don't believe this could happen. The meetings did take place to discuss it, and I don't really care of Hangover Haven believes it or not. Your belief in it has no bearing on if it's real or not and the idea that I have to prove private meetings happened is ridiculous. Does your office call the local paper for them to post everything you talk about? Your premise is juvenile. It doesn't make sense to someone who actually is involved in any sort of adult business.
