No that's not how it works...The finance company offers a rate to finance a customer vehicle purchase...then the dealership has the option to mark up that rate and keep the spread....so she knows someone at the dealership who 1) jacked up the sales price 2) jacked up the finance rate and is keeping this spread so they are making 10's of thousands of dollars on the sale a 1 single vehicle.
