I work mainly from home and cut the grass during lunch. It’s nice to get outside and away from the computer screen, even on hot days. Makes you feel human

It's only a pleasure because you aren't doing it to survive. Ask this dude if yard work is fun.

They finished our pool last Wednesday. It was a cloudy mess for a couple of days but I mowed on Thursday, grabbed a beer and hopped in. I thought there was nothing more rewarding than the post mow beer. . . but apparently there was. . .

Post mow beer while sitting in a chilled pool. I was ready to mow again after that beer. . . But I just got another beer.

Dang skippy. Nothing like feeling some hard work that pays off.

Just finished pressure washing my driveway and front walk this past weekend. Definitely the most rewarding of any outdoor chore.

I had totally forgotten the original color of the stones of my front walk

It was hot. I went outside to watch the groundskeeper trim about 20 trees. It was so hot I only stayed out there for 30 minutes and had to go back inside. But I did peek out of the window a couple of times after that with a drink in my hand to make sure they were doing a good job.

Did a lot of weed eating yesterday and trimmed back the walking rose bush. Also cleaned the carport really well. Had a real good sweat going on. Its very rewarding to sit back and look at what you've accomplished.

My groundskeepers told me the exact same thing. It definitely was a scorcher today.

This board's obsession with yard work is on par with the travel board's obsession with Italy

Meanwhile I cut my lawn yesterday and it was 68° outside .

How much snow can you handle?

Wasn't aware you had to be "ultra rich" to have a yard guy. It's like 75 bucks a month.

Maybe if you live on a tenth of an acre. Any normal sized yard runs at least 50 per cut around here. You could pay for your lawn equipment in two months.

I'm 61 and cut grass, weed eat, blow drive way and sprayed weed killer. Small yard had to stop three times cutting grass. Hottest I have ever gotten. Push mower though.

Because you're paying for labor. If you bought your own, you'd have to be out there actually doing the work.
