I'm a referral agent now. Not really active or inactive. It's a gray area. As a licensed assistant I can still hold open houses as long as I don't represent myself as an active agent, which I did not.

He's not compensated directly, his mom is giving him a kick back for the referral and easy sell.
Op, this is the exact reason why real estate agents and the business gets a bad rap all the time. Typical realtor store imo. Putting high school type gossip bullshite in front of the job.

Yes, as long as a don't represent myself as an agent.
The part that bothers me is not necessarily that. It's that this woman blatantly lied. If she was just upset about the referral, that would be fine and I couldn't say much. But making up this elaborate scenario that didn't happen is what has me seeing red.
