That's a disc golf disc. The throw is not very far for disc golf standards.

I had a GSD who was "big dog" fast, in that, I could throw a football and he would beat it to the ground. He was a long strider (think Ja'Marr Chase). This dog would have blown his ears off, with the big league quicks.

Makes sense that it is a frisbee golf disk. It would be hard to throw a frisbee that far.
The dog reminds me of one I had. She could catch anything and was pretty obsessive about it. The further I threw it, the better she liked it.
I started to take her to a frisbee contest once, but when we got there and I saw the other dogs, I realized that her 85lbs of "every frisbee is mine" attitude would probably not mesh well with the other contestants and there would be problems.
