Obviously chicken bones are out of the question but what are the best beef, pork or any other animals bones? I’ve been giving my pup beef short rib bones and deer antlers. What y’all got?

Get a beef thigh bone from a butcher for a gnaw bone. If your dog is a chihuahua, film that shite.

I've ALWAYS given our dogs chicken bones. In fact only bones I don't give are fish and some turtle bones. What you think wild dogs eat?

Bully sticks and trachea chews.

Avoid rawhide at all costs.

Yeah I give him bully sticks all the time. Just want to steer clear of any “splintering bones”. I’ve always heard that term but I’ve never known anyone with a dog that choked or had bones splinter in their throat.

Neither have I.

There are plenty of videos of cats and dogs eating fish with no problems. I think a lot of people see their pets as being human like in regards to their foods and how/what they eat. Raw food is what dogs have ate for most of their history and I'm sure bones were part of their diet. Animals are more resilient than what people want to give them credit for.

Out of everything I’ve ever given my dog, rawhides are the only thing he’s ever choked and yacked chewing/eating.

They can break into small chunks, and dogs can choke. I give my dog occasionally, because chewing is good for their teeth, and she loves them. But you want to keep an eye on them. I'd give mine bully sticks, but she can destroy one within a couple minutes. They're not worth it for a strong dog.

Another thing about rawhides, they're a nasty mess. If my dog eats them on the couch, it's a crusty mess, that's hard to clean up.

Those bull dicks stink something fierce when the dogs are chewing on them.

Any raw uncooked bone is fine to give to dogs. Cooked chicken bones shatter into sharp pieces thus the danger.
