Mine has no clue about history, and her main concern with current events is whether or not Tik Tok is going to get shut down.
Love her to death, and she has her responsibilities, but history and current events that have little to no bearing on her day to day are of no concern to her.

I'm a shade tree history buff, but my wife reads more than anyone I know and laps me when it comes to history. I have her beat on current events though.

A lot of people are way less informed than past generations. Very few watch TV news or read newspapers. Now that people have cut the cable cord and only have streaming services, it's possible to completely avoid news and current events unless someone on social media remarks on it. Sad.

My wife is pretty aware current events. She has a decent grasp of important historical events like, but she's not going to break down Napoleons retreat from Moscow in 1812 or anything.
All in all she's smart enough to not be boring, but carefree enough that we aren't discussing the situation in Ukraine over dinner.

Some, but hardly. Shes a classic upper middle class white girl with a silver spoon. She invests most of her mental energy in dumb shite like celebrities, fashion, etc. She is a great mom, but she’s not holding court with anyone discussing geopolitical affairs or anything of value. She reads prolifically, but it is all trash. Ignorance is bliss.

My exwife had zero intrest in current or historical events. She would listen to me when I was having a manic episode and had to talk about it and she was clearly not paying attention.
My kids mom would attempt to talk to me about it (she thought she was a lot smarter than she actually was) but she was wrong about pretty much everything she talked to me about however she was at least making an attempt to let me get it out of my system.

My wife is extremely intelligent can read any contract, instructions and has over all a good concept of common sense.
She said she learned history for test then forgot it, she has zero clue about any current event , she probably dosent know there is a war in Israel. And could give 2 shits less.
Here words if there isn't anything I can do about is so she just moves on.
Now she remembers everything I do wrong, but nothing else.

My wife knows a little bit about everything but she doesn’t pay attention to politics very much. She just knows who people are and has a vague idea of what they stand for. She’s kind of perfect for the Poli Board, actually.
