Does your wife know how much you really make?

How many married men here let their wives know their true salary? It would be pretty easy to keep it a secret even if you have a joint bank account. I have a little bit of my check going into a different credit union account that I own solely.

Congrats on the future divorce.

That's probably a good idea considering we normally pay your wife in cash.

Periodic credit checks help this problem.
We both check throughout the year to make sure no identity thieves opened up any fraudulent accounts.
Also, if you're opening accounts on your own, what's to keep the SO from doing the same?

That's a good idea. Let us know how it plays out when she finds out.

Yes. I hate paying bills and managing balances on the AMEXs. Let her handle that domestic shtt.

Yea, less than she does.

Of course she does. Why wouldn't she?
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:14 pm to MontyFranklyn
I'm yes. Joint account and finance discussions and all that shite
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:14 pm to MontyFranklyn
Yes she does. If I had to hide money from her I wouldn't have married her in the first place.
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:15 pm to MontyFranklyn
Yep, mainly because I'm not an idiot.
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:16 pm to MontyFranklyn
I don't know how much money I make. Haven't looked at our joint checking in years
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:17 pm to MontyFranklyn
Better hope she lets you handle everything with taxes or you gonna get busted when she sees your W-2 or 1099
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:18 pm to MontyFranklyn
That's a great idea. Hide as many things from her as you possibly can. They never find out, trust me.
Posted on 3/3/17 at 4:19 pm to MontyFranklyn
We own a business together. Can't exactly hide shite from her.

Wife and I budget pretty meticulously, so, yeah, we definitely know each other's true income.
