Does your wife know how much you really make?

How many married men here let their wives know their true salary? It would be pretty easy to keep it a secret even if you have a joint bank account. I have a little bit of my check going into a different credit union account that I own solely.

Periodic credit checks help this problem.

We both check throughout the year to make sure no identity thieves opened up any fraudulent accounts.

Also, if you're opening accounts on your own, what's to keep the SO from doing the same?

Yes. I hate paying bills and managing balances on the AMEXs. Let her handle that domestic shtt.

Wife and I budget pretty meticulously, so, yeah, we definitely know each other's true income.
