My dogs love puddles but refuse to walk through wet grass to potty.

Do those of you who have water-loving dogs see your dogs jumping puddles? Do they walk through oblivious? Do they jump in the puddles?

Yes. They do all of the above. No rhyme or reason. Will jump over a puddle take two steps, turnaround and lay down in it.

that’s cute - you should let her have the hose, it’s easier clean up

That's a negative. Someone left the hose hanging off the the fence once. Someone left the water on and she attacked were the water was hitting. I came outside and there was a black demon dog on the other side of the fence. She had climbed under the fence and got covered by mud, just wagging her tail. She is a long haired gsp and soft as hell. Very smart.

I have a Boykin spaniel, and a lab mix. If there is water they find and exploit it. Unless it’s a pool, then the Boykin is the only one to partake. Weird.

GR. Is totally indifferent to puddles which generally means mows right through.

I have a Belgian Malinois.

She's a really good dog and came pre-trained, but she has some of the psycho traits associated with the breed (e.g., beating the crap out of other dogs who push up on her; she's not aggressive exactly, but she is highly reactive).

She is more or less indifferent to ground conditions, though she will totally give me the FTS side eye if it's so much as sprinkling on us.

No. But she won’t go out when it’s actively raining unless she really has to go

Golden Retriever is a mudder, loves water, mud and whatever smells bad. Big old feet were made for mudding.

German Shepherd will walk around or jump over standing water on street or sidewalk, will not go into a pond, lake or the ocean. He will run through and and play ins standing water, puddles and water/mud in the grass.

Both of them love the snow and beach.
