It's funny to watch them hand all the paper work over to a cop, or always read a script of their cell phone,I wonder how much they paid for all this shite

Reminds of that idiot on here who refused to get his son a SSN/driver's license

I recently listened to a podcast on the Sovereign Citizen movement. It got started back in the 60s or 70s with a group called Posse Comitatus. They interpreted the posse comitatus law to mean something not really even close to what it actually states and it was basically all to avoid paying taxes. But they were not afraid to use violence and had many shootouts with law enforcement.

Came across several while I was practicing law. Our SOP was to send them a two sentence letter: "I am in receipt of your communication dated X. Your interpretation of the law is incorrect." Never had one show up in court.

We had a group up in Monroe that the Feds kept an eye on. Led by former mayor of Richwood Verdicee Hampton Gholson. Referred to herself as Empress of the Dugdamone Tribe

I like the concept of not having to pay for things like licenses and social security but I'm just not willing to roll the dice. The matrix has me.
Considering the benefits compared to the downside only a fool would roll the dice. Living in the United States with a decent income is a helluva deal. Acting like these morons act has to be EXHAUSTING, and they wind up in jail more than most would be comfortable with.....

I don’t know any personally, but I’ve come across dozens over the years in practice, both Sov Cits and the Commonwealth flavor “freeman of the land”. Batshit insane to a person, and always utterly shocked when no one gives a shite about their magical incantations

Sovereign citizens are simply wrong. Their BS is just stupid.
First amendment "auditors", certainly silly, have done some positive shite. Many police departments use those videos for training, specifically training on how not to escalate a situation that is obviously benign. You'd think with the millions of youtube videos of cops escalating a situation involving one of these morons it would get harder and harder to bait cops into interacting....it doesn't seem to be, the videos continue to roll in, hundreds daily, more ofthen than one would think was possible involving the same cops, the same police departments and the same "auditor". The guy from south Florida has interacted with the same 20 or so cops HUNDREDS of times and can bait those morons into asking for his ID again and again and again. Their boss ought to fire their asses for being soooooooo dumb but apparently being brain dead is not a barrier to entry in the field in south Florida.
The truly staggering part about first amendment "auditors" aint that they exist and do what they do....people do all sorts of silly shite. What boggles the mind is the number of policemen who willingly interact with them and escalate the encounter to the point that they get sued and lose their jobs....costing the taxpayer on both accounts. Wrestling with hogs is, apparently, something cops just can't avoid....like crack and heroine to an addict it is what drives them, apparently. When someone calls and says "there is a man on the street with a video camera" dispatchers should respond "so?"....instead they send out a cop who then calls in several more, all of them asking for ID when they know damn well who the person is and that they are not involved in a crime....over and over and over again. Its uncanny how often they can bait cops into this behavior.

Traveler in my area means something entirely different....Irish Gypsies (can you say gypsy? I just did so apparently you can). If you think crime don't pay drive through Murphy Village just north of North Augusta SC on US 25. You will change your mind....

Order fo shitstains
1) Sovereign Citizens
2) Police
3) Politicians
Anyone who holds the governent to account when it comes to the Constitution is not a shitstain unless you are a police state loving communist. The local news is a 1st amendment auditor. People assembling peacefully are 1st amendment auditors, etc. Sorry the Bill of Rights annoys you.

I know a guy who tried the sovereign citizen thing. He’s hiding out in Central America now to run from the tax charges he has pending here. He was a chiropractor and pretty much exactly the kinda looney toon you imagine.
I hadn't thought about this guy in forever so i googled him last night and turns out he got extradited from Panama and they hit him with a 2 year sentence and a few hundred grand in penalties and restitution.

Not in my experience. I haven't exactly kept track, but I would ballpark somewhere in the range of 75% white to 25% black.

I dealt with a guy who was in that camp. He had bought a bunch of literature and printed documents which are a tossed salad of disjointed legal terms and concepts which are mashed together into a ridiculous scam which these people try to present with a straight face.
But this guy was seriously committed and was a bully.
He wound up doing federal time for a few crimes stemming from his fraudulent schemes and attempt to bully people involved in the process.
