Does Uber or Lyft accept customer requests to drive 60 plus miles out of town?

One way.

Is this on a driver by driver basis or is there an actual policy that speaks to this?

Uber notifies the driver that the length of the trip will be longer than X if the trip is over 45 minutes. The driver can decline

Unless something has changed, you can pre-arrange a longer trip on their website to guarantee you'll get a ride.

I know people who occasionally Uber between Baton Rouge and New Orleans (90ish miles) if that answers your question.

I took an uber from Nola to BR in the middle of the night one time. Most drivers wouldn't be cool with it I imagine but I lucked up and got a cool woman. Tipped her 50$.

Yes, it does. Need a ride to the airport in New Orleans but returning back through a different airport.

Yes. A few years back I had to take an uber from Orlando airport to Gainesville for an LSU/UF game.

This is where I don't understand how they make money without tips. I flew into Denver and took an Uber to Longmont which was 45 minutes and it was at midnight then the driver went home to south of Denver so like over 1 hour. I tried to do the ride share (forget the name) and I ended up being solo, so it was only $46. So the dude drove like 90 miles and 1.5 hours for 50 bucks.

I’ve used Uber to send parts and people to Fourchon. Always tip and my rating has remained high.

About $250 from Lafayette.

The lyft drivers I've talked to love bringing people to the new Orleans Airport. They make $70 for the drive, but the downside is they can't stay in New Orleans and drive people.

I've heard if a driver declines rides too often, they get kicked off the service. But is there a way for a driver to setup to only get ride requests along a certain route? For example, if I worked in the city and commute back to the northshore and want to only get riders looking to get across the causeway? Would be some nice extra change for a drive I was already making regardless.

Not according to my last Lyft driver in BR.. drivers have no clue where they are going until they hit accept... (it will tell them if its over 45 min though)
