Why did they break Xmas eve and day into separate choices but leave NY eve/day as a single choice? I’d guess that after the first 5 nobody really gave a shite and just randomly selected holidays. Nobody sits around dreaming about Labor Day.

Well yeah it's accurate. What other order could it be?

IMO, Easter needs to be promoted more as a national holiday.
Not necessarily for religious purposes, but more than we need a quality spring time holiday because the weather is much better.
Further, the would break up a long span of typical holidays folks get ( usually from MLK to memorial day weekend)

Lots of people like the long weekend and family time.

Not everyone wants a big party day like memorial, independence, or Halloween.

Me personally, i love the party days.

The only way that's happening is to get back to the holiday's pagan roots. Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth that would prompt from Christians? We already get enough of that because Christmas has to share a fraction of the spotlight with other holidays

I'd say that the majority probably do unless it's some sort of retail or hospitality job

Lots of professionals - doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants - don’t get Labor Day off.

It may be a majority but if 35-40% of people you poll on Holidays don’t get Labor Day off, it ain’t making the top 5

I've never personally worked for a company that recognized MLK as a holiday

I know there are some that do but I don't think it's as prevalent as people think
