Not everyone’s a Christian. Everyone, however, loves to get drunk and eat copious amounts of food.

I used to be firmly in the Christmas camp, but as an adult Thanksgiving is growing on me. It's basically Christmas (food and family) with none of the bullshite gift-giving stress.

Only reason I noticed this is because it is getting ratio’d to hell on twitter. Everyone in agreement saying it doesn’t seem accurate

The food at thanksgiving brings it up that high. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday

Seems accurate to me.

Some people also have holidays on thanksgiving and the day after but not christmas eve since it rotates

Halloween is never a day off.

ANd i feel like getting holidays of from work is going to drive this probably more than anything else

Im more surprised that labor day and memorial day are so low. But probably because people dont really think of them as "holidays"

And to address this directly:

The image clearly states that people were to list their top five holidays. You'll notice the numbers don't add up to 100%. The fact that both Christmas and Thanksgiving were listed in the top five for roughly 3/4 of respondents isn't in the least bit surprising.

Maybe it is a regional thing?

For my family, the big 2 were Halloween and Christmas. We would go all out in the festivities.

Most of the black people I know would likely put MLK Day in their top five. Not that they give a shite about MLK, but the family cookout game is on point.

St Patty's Day would be a lot higher on my list if I was 25 again.

I’m definitely bumping St. Patrick’s day above Valentine’s Day

Fitting, because Twitter is the lowest type of communication.

Looks like you could list multiple favorites. People kind of throw the two in as a package deal. It just means everyone who loves Christmas also loves Thanksgiving. Let’s try to think critically here people.

ETA: Twitter is retarded.

Now that I understand how the survey works, it makes more sense

But less than 1/4 of ballots having Halloween in top is surprising
