TD was much better a decade ago

SJWs ruin everything they touch. That’s what it really boils down to. The fringe cooks seem to have power because of how social media inflated the importance of the opinions of an offended few

TL;DR: like California, what was once the land of pioneers and scoundrels and treasure hunters slowly became civilized. And with civilization, the digitally weak and vapid demanded to enjoy the fruits without the labors of their planting. And because they did not understand it, and how to grow it, they corrupted and destroyed what was once despicably beautiful with their regulations and holier than thou attitudes.
Even your TL;DR was TL;DR

Yes. I vacillate between laconic and verbose.

Step away from the thesaurus

The internet was like the Wild West.
No rules, anything goes. No nanny-state or PC police.
You may not always find what you were looking for, but you found something interesting.
Random chats with strangers who you could only assume were the age and gender they told you.

Google AdSense and Corporate saturation has neutered much of the internet

Censorship is what’s watering it down.
No more Encyclopedia Dramatica or 8Chan... maybe if you use tor?

Baw, I don’t need no fancy word book. You’ve seriously never heard of laconic speech?

Look at what this website has become. When 50+ stale old men are on the internet 24/7 now, it’s going to get shitty.

This is why I like TD.com. It’s a clean, easy to access website. No overly invasive ads, no secret links to whatever obscure websites or any deceptive bullshite. Here’s the content, read it and have a nice day. All the clutter is why I stay away from major news sites. Every time I try, some huge full page ad pops up and has a timer before you can actually see the content.

I still think Google is going to drop all of our Incognito history one day and destroy Western society as we know it.
Or North Koreans will hack Google and blackmail the world to become the richest nation ever.

GDPR is the reason.

I don’t understand how people use reddit. It feels like eye cancer and most of the people there are complete shills
