The woman charged in the death of the sports reporter from Kansas City has a prior history of drugging men.
Colbert, according to police, has an arrest record that includes prior arrests related to being accused of drugging men, stealing cash, fraudulent use of credit and debit cards, and other financial-related crimes.

I think multiple murders have to be involved to qualify as a serial killer. Sounds like she normally just does "hood rat stuff"

Danette Colbert, 48, is known as the 'Bourbon Street Hustler' by New Orleans locals and has a sordid criminal history going back to at least 2012

She was also arrested in 2014 for some "hood rat stuff"

The NOPD has identified 37-year-old Danette Colbert as the person wanted in connection with a theft and access-device fraud.
About 4 a.m. Nov. 4, 2014, a 35-year-old man was walking on Bourbon Street when Colbert approached and invited him to hang out with her, police said. He agreed and they went to his hotel room in the 600 block of St. Charles Avenue.
The victim went to sleep and upon waking up discovered Colbert was gone, along with his Rolex watch valued at $4,000, his credit cards and $100 in cash.
Police said they later learned that Colbert had fraudulently used the victim’s credit cards about 20 times at businesses in the 4600 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A woman was arrested last week for allegedly driving nearly 100 miles per hour in a south Las Vegas valley school zone, according to an arrest report.
Danette Colbert was taken into custody after being stopped near Steve Schorr Elementary School, in the area of Bermuda Road and Starr Avenue, on Friday, Aug. 12.
In an arrest report, police say a motorcycle officer saw a Ford Mustang speeding west on Starr. The officer used his radar gun to clock the Mustang at 97 mph, nearly four times the posted school zone limit of 25 mph.
and another Vegas arrest!

A New Orleans woman charged with drugging a man and stealing $50,000 in cash from him on the Strip in January was arrested in a similar theft Saturday.
Danette Colbert, 45, was first arrested by Las Vegas police in a Jan. 17 theft at Wynn Las Vegas. A man reported to police that he invited two women he met in a bar to his hotel room, according to an arrest report. He later woke up in his room with a bloody nose and discovered that $50,000 cash, a Rolex watch worth $30,000, $11,000 in casino chips, his iPhone 11, a Louis Vuitton luggage bag worth $5,000 and a satchel valued at $2,000 were all missing.
The man said he made drinks for the women in his room but gave one woman $200 to leave because she was rude. The last thing he remembers, the report said said, is walking the woman to the door of the room.

I think a better question is probably how many serial killers are there in new orleans and not is there is a serial killer.
