I guess this is the first year my kids all finally figured out the Santa deal. It’s definitely not the same. I had one actually ask if I wanted him to help put out presents. Damn it goes by quick. For those that have young ones try to enjoy it even though it feels like a pain in the arse. Id love one more Christmas where the kids couldn’t/wouldn’t go to sleep waiting on Santa. Merry Christmas anyways OT!

I feel like it'd be more of a pain when they get older and don't appreciate things as much.

Mine is 5 and part of his gift was a mini stapler. He was legit so excited and said "my favorite stapler, it's what I've always wanted."

My daughter is usually out in 5 minutes. She’s still up and coming out to very 5 minute ask a question. Too excited to sleep.

I enjoyed my days of Christmas with smaller kids. It's definitely different with grown kids but no grandkids.

So we just party now. A bunch of beer, a bunch of liquor and a bunch of smoke. Make good food and have a rocking good time.

At least you’re getting credit for all the hassle and effort rather some fictitious fat guy.

As I mentioned elsewhere, there are medical issues in my family this year. So, no.

Mine are 18 and almost 20 years old now. Definitely not the same but still great to have them around. We kept some traditions and lost a few. We still sneak in stockings and a few small Santa items but nothing elaborate like it once was. Merry Christmas!

My 6yr old guy stalled as long as he could & right before falling asleep he said... "We should just let Santa do his thing"

When we’d go over to my grandparents the weekend before Christmas, my grandfather would wake up early and start trying to figure out what was in the presents. He’d start badgering my grandmother as soon as we woke up that we needed to get to checking out those packages. He passed 11 years ago, and my grandmother passed this year. Will be the first Christmas without any of my grandparents.

Ive told the story here before. I figured out Santa but was afraid if I said anything I’d stop getting Santa presents. I strung it along for way longer than I thought possible for my little brother, and finally my mom asked me. I told her. So it started a joke where we continued to get Santa presents on through high school, and college. Our girlfriends got Santa presents, and on the our wives. This continued up until we both had kids and started staying home for Christmas. Point is, there’s plenty of ways to keep magic alive and still have a ton of fun.

Man it feels different this year. My daughters 8, I think she knows the bit but still has the spirit . Son is 4 and is figuring out how the whole Christmas deal works. But it does fly by.

We do a Santa scavenger hunt every year. My 15 yr old asked me tonight if Santa was going to do the hunt again. I know he knows better, but he would never admit it for fear that we wouldn’t have the fun morning that we always have. It’s nice to have them play along as long as possible.
