No but people who decide not to buy a product because the commercial featured an interracial couple are.

OP is suggesting that an interracial couple portrayed in commercials is targeted towards people in an interracial relationship. People that aren’t racist just consider this a couple and don’t stop to think which race the advertisers are pandering to

No. What gets me into a product or service is when the dumb dad can't even tie his shoes but is somehow able to afford the $700,000 house that his wife and kids make fun of him in.

When I see that, you bet I'm a mark for it.

We refuse to let the liberal left shove their “everyone’s behavior is acceptable” message down our throats to pretend that most “couples” are skinny gays or black dudes with white woman.

Not everything in the world has some political agenda trying to make YOU become a "liberal". It's called marketing.

If you see a commercial in which everyone is completely different from you. In other words, it has no white people in it, it might have a few people you would assume is gay, etc.. Would you identify with that product?

There are people who are not white, who sees commercials with all white people who might not be able to identify with that product because there is no one in it that looks like them. An interracial couple in a commercial is saying "this is a product that is for everyone".

quote:

Don’t provide tacit approval of those lifestyles to our kids.

WTF is this? You don't want your kids to see reality because they might approve of it?

"Look kids, that person looks different than you. They are not the same color, he is a man and he will not marry a woman because beyond his control he is sexually attracted to other men. God hates those people. If you see a commercial that has these type of people in it, do not buy whatever the commercial is for. And remember, if you rather people that is the same sex as you or you meet someone who isn't 100% white and you fall in love with them. Don't bring that shite to my house, because daddy will not love you anymore".

Literally cutting the cord today due to this being forced down our throats. It's one thing to watch programs you know this will be included in but now it's either interracial families or gay parents in 75% of commercials. I have 2 kids. I'm not paying $140 a month for them to be brainwashed. I'm done.

Yes. I don't want to be manipulated, lied to, or told how to think.

You'd think the country was 75% black from watching current American commercials.

I really can not comprehend this mindset. First of all, who pays that much attention to commercials? And do you really think they are trying to force it down your throat?

When commercials come on, change it to a different station for 2 mins then put it back on to what you are watching.

Your kids are not putting that much thought into these commercials. They don't care and depending on how old they are, they likely see a same sex couple as two people who are either men or women.

The fact that you think this leads me to believe you are already brainwashed. You are fixed on one way people should live and you don't want to associate with anyone who is different than you.

The real world is filled with a lot of different people. While you are cutting the cord so your kids don't see these awful things, you might want to lock them in the house as well.

TLDR: I've had some beer, don't care to watch commercials with gays, and we need more hot lesbians on TV.

I'll say it's never pushed me towards a product but it would have to be extraordinarily heavy-handed to push me away.

I generally think companies who promote it just for the sake of diversity appeal to low level thinkers.

They aren't pandering to minorities. They are making a political and social statement.

All I know is the AT&T Tattoo commercial is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

"I'm one of the tattoo artists in this town."

"Don't you mean one of the best tattoo artists?"

"Whatever."

****

"Aren't you supposed to draw it first?"

"Stay in your lane, Bro."

This one is followed closely by the Doctor/surgeon - pre surgery conversation for AT&T.

"Nervous?"
"Yes"
"Yeh, me too. - We'll work it out"

They also have a two guys going on a date talking to their babysitter - not so funny, but socially inclusive I guess.

Away, if it's not a necessity I already know to be a good product/service. They are pushing a narrative that isn't based on societal reality. People as a rule are not that effing inclusive about EVERYTHING.

Why should I believe they aren't lying about the quality of the products they're pitching, too?

Why do you feel the need to say this to me? There's no perceived e-injustice. I'm just trying to say that it's ridiculous for anyone to feel like the world is against them and that their kids are somehow going to be worse off because of what some companies choose to put in their commercials.
