Does anyone rival Whitney Houston?

She’s arguably one of the greatest female voices ever, I just watched her documentary and it’s such a tragedy how her life played out. Brothers, drugs are fun but they can completely ruin people’s lives. I mean someone like her who had everything was completely crippled by a drug addiction, such a sad story from a truly great inspiration to everyone.

There are lots of classically trained or jazz vocalists that have had more technical skill than Whitney Houston. It's just that their art form doesn't have pop appeal like Whitney Houston. Being a pop artist is more about being a marketable product with the look and all that goes with it. She wouldn't have been seen like she was if she wasn't also beautiful. Though she was a talented vocalist. Yadda yadda. Get off my lawn.
