You mean the 50 year old holiday created by a woman torturing kidnapper, to promote peace and unity within the black community? That Kwanzaa?

Yeah, go read about him. A grifter taking advantage of the black community.

The official language of Kwanzaa holiday is Swahili, which is spoken primarily in East Africa. Most US slaves were from West Africa where Swahili isn't spoken. It's hilariously awful.

Our DEI team incessantly promotes it and encourages it, but they don’t celebrate it.

One of the victims, Deborah Jones, testified that she and another woman, Gail Davis, were stripped, whipped with an electrical cord, and beaten with a karate baton. She also testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Davis's mouth and against her face, and one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Detergent and running hoses were also forced into their mouths, and they were hit on the heads with toasters.

I would love for anyone to make sense of this. How could anyone follow a psychopath like this?

Seems like it’d be really popular in the “Chocolate City”…

The purpose of Kwanzaa is to:

Reaffirm and restore a connection to African culture.
Reinforce bonds of family, community, and nation.
Introduce and reinforce the Nguzo Saba, or Seven Principles.
Provide an opportunity for African Americans to celebrate themselves and their history.

My former neighbors did. They were good folks, and the guy was a serious baw.

But they loved some Kwanza. Also wore traditional African garb a lot.
