Does anyone here listen to Prairie Home Companion...

...on NPR? And, if so, how do you think host Chris Thile compares to the now-defrocked Garrison Keillor?

Every once in a while I’ll have it on but I haven’t heard the new host. I like most NPR shows but have a hard time getting into this one.
If you’ve never heard it Wait Wait Dont Tell Me is worth checking out.

On November 29, 2017, in the wake of allegations of misconduct against Keillor, American Public Media announced it would change the show's name.[1][2][3] The new name of the show was announced as Live from Here live on the December 16, 2017 broadcast of the show.[4]

Can someone explain the Garrison Keillor allegations? If I remember correctly he touched one broad’s back to console her and immediately apologized. That’s it? Am I missing something?

Apparently there was at least one more complaint.
Thile had already handled the show quite well, and the transition to "Live From Here" looked and sounded seamless to me. The show's coming to NOLA in two weeks, BTW.

He asked her if he could put his Café Boeuf on her.
Prolly other things there, he’s an artist at heart.

And they've even pulled the archived shows.

Thile was managing well through the end of 2017. I didn’t hear the last show(s) post-Keillor though. Chris was stepping into an almost impossible situation, and I thought he handled it well. As liberal and whacko as Keillor was, he was an amazing radio personality. A great voice, and a room-filling persona. Met him in person once (#metoo), and he seemed like a real, genuine person.

Seems insufficiently rapey to host the show. But ive been a fan of Thile for 15 years and it seems like a decent fit if he wants that gig. He’s a ridiculous musician.

I misunderestimated Chris Thile. He seemed somewhat precious and metrosexual listening to him on the show. Imagine my astonishment to find out he's not only married to a woman, but a HOT one, at that: the actress Claire Coffee!
