re: Does anyone here have sleeping issues? How do you deal with them?
I rotate between 10mg of melatonin and Walmart generic sleeping pills so that they stay fresh in my system and I don't build a tolerance. I've also found that waking up at 4:30am and staying busy throughout the day has me exhausted by 8pm. My worst sleep at night was when I was waking up at 7am and only working 40 hours a week and catching a nap at lunch. Gotta be tired to sleep, I suppose.

When it became legal here, I tried oral drops for knee pain. It was mildly effective for that but it definitely has made me sleep much longer and deeper.

I never have many problems with stress and sleep like shite. My wife stresses all the time and falls asleep faster than her head hits the pillow.

I have problems falling asleep. Once I'm out, I don't have any trouble staying asleep. But it is normal for me to get in bed at midnight or so and not actually fall asleep until 3 or 4. I'm always tired but have just gotten used to it.

2 Olly Sleep about an hour prior to bedtime

It may be placebo but I swear it works better than melatonin. It had melatonin. But it had some other voodoo herbal stuff

Yeah falling asleep is the issue, staying asleep isn’t that bad, wake up in the night but not a huge deal most of the time

Yeah falling asleep is the issue
I think that is the easiest of them to fix. The best advice I ever found on this subject, is to not get in your bed until you are tired and ready to sleep. This way your body gets in the habit of falling asleep once you lay down. Some people like to lay down in bed and watch tv, etc. I used to too. But then after hearing that advice I only get in my bed when I'm 100% tired and want to go to bed right then. I have no problem falling asleep.

Maybe you should try that. Also, cut your lights off or dim them real low like an hour or so before you want to go to bed. Candles work best. Kinda reminds me when I go camping and I always get tired as frick as soon as the sun goes down. I think the darkening of the lights make a big effect on getting you sleepy.

My only sleeping issues are due to stress, mind won’t stop thinking about work, and the like. Unisom will get me enough sleep to function, but I’ve gotten better at dealing with the stress as well.

re: Does anyone here have sleeping issues? How do you deal with them?
Lord knows I do. I have been on benedryl, nyquil, melatonin, and ambien for over 15 years. I started to get memory issues with the ambien and melatonin gave me crazy dreams and decided to quit all of it cold turkey. It was hard but I did it. What works for me? I have added running to my workout routine and it has made all the difference in the world for me...I sleep like a baby on the days I run. May not work for everyone but I have to literally wear myself down to get a good nights sleep. Good luck fellow insomniacs!!!
