If something like this happens, millennials will panic and will be the first to resort to violence.

The worst are the retards who just stare at their screen from 6 inches away while repeatedly clicking on the same shite, expecting something different to happen resulting in them getting progressively more pissed at the computer.

Most old fricks have also never thought to Google their problem, which is almost always the way to go.

And these motherfrickers that put two spaces after every period.. the first thing I do when I open anything is find and replace all those. It's not a typewriter!

it's just another method of putting letters on a piece of paper. the two spaces are there because they fricking belong there. my typing teacher, Ms. Bennett, said so, and she's only been dead 30 years.

Unless you work in finance or have budget management responsibilities you really do not need to know advanced excel functions

My mom works part time helping me out in the office 3x per week and it has been

It has been a learning experience as far as figuring out exactly what tasks she can take off my plate without needing to know much about computers. Overall she is more help than not having her, but I admit I come close to losing it sometimes. Luckily, it's my mother and not a random employee.

She isn't the first. I've worked for 2 different companies where my associate was 50+ and couldn't operate Outlook. In both instances, they were making double what I was making purely because they were old. But I was getting 80% of our responsibilities done because they couldn't save a file.

Age in my experience has nothing to do with tech ignorance.

In my office the 20 year olds can't work around software and hardware well. Depend on me in my 40s.

Someone brought up a really good point to me the other day. Your people who really shine with programs like Excel is a very small range. Basically people 25-40. Nobody younger. Nobody older. With exceptions of course.

Kids the past few years have been using phones for almost everything. Some of them even write papers on phones/tablets. You're right - it isn't just old people. It is a very limited segment of people who truly have a grasp on this stuff.

More & more jobs are using technology in ways you wouldn't have dreamed of 10-20 years ago.

Edit: my doctor's office has digitized their medical records. On one visit, the Dr. said something like "we got all this computerized shite we gotta learn." I told him I'm in favor of anything that gets rid of paper and that I don't know how some of them still deal with it.

What some people would call "advanced functions" have made my job easier in ways you can't even imagine.

Electronic Medical Records are the norm now. I don't know of anyone who still keeps that shite in a huge room of folders. Doctors are the absolute worst when it comes to pretty much anything but medicine. If it doesn't involve medicine, they're likely completely unable to grasp it. Most doctors rely on high school educated retards to run their practice because they are completely unable to do anything with the business.
