See them used in movies but have you ever seen them used at a concert or something like that?

If you have to ask, you probably dont have the seats for them.

No, I'm usually in good seats, don't need em.

I'm most certain Louis Winthorpe III and Penelope would have used them at La Boheme had he not been arrested.

I won't Google this. I googled Powdered wigs a few weeks back and still get ads for $3,000 barrister wigs.

I don a pince-nez when I’m feeling like the 26th president of the United States

Yes, I have two pair. Why?
Posted on 8/12/18 at 12:56 pm to prplhze2000
Yes, every time I’ve been to the opera I have used them.

I use them to admire the decolletage of the more attractive operagoers.

Well I’m trashy and i have actually never been to the opera

I wear them often to the Galaxies Opera House in the Uscru District--especially when Squid Lake is performed.

This burning question keeps you up at night?

Several decades ago I was relatively poor and went to England on a business trip. Coming back, I spent several nights in London and got tickets for different plays sitting so high that I could see all the actors bald spots but never saw their mouths move.
One night I went to Covent Garden to see the opera Norma. My seat was the top of the back row, and to my right were serious students of opera who watched through opera glasses in one hand and the other had turned the pages of the libretto.
I wish I had had opera glasses as it was the last performance of the season and all costumes and sets had been packed away and the entire cast were clothes in black choir robes and I could not tell who was who, and it was worse in crowd scenes.
I haven't seen them used in the US, but that may be because our theaters are designed for the audiences and really don't have nose-bleed seats.
