Bob Hope was cool.Great.Funny.Entertained the Troops in different Wars.

He played golf with Presidents. He introduced the AP All-American Team on his Special every year.

Had a Christmas Special every year.Bob Hope was as beloved,at least,as Johnny Carson.

I'll bet he slew some women.

He was in Spies Like Us. "Dr, Dr. Glad I'm not sick." He was big time. That's all I caught in real time tho.

As a kid, I always enjoyed Bob Hope's Christmas specials. The guys was the epitome of an entertainer. Comedy, movies, tv specials, his entertaining of our troops going back to ww2, he's an American icon.

I'm not gonna say I was a fan if his, but I obviously know who he was. He was old by the time I knew anything about him. My parents or likely grandparents were more in his generation. I've Wikipedia'd him before and I've always known he did some amazing things through the years. Entertained troops from ww2 to Desert Storm. Pretty solid.

A great American.

Hell yes!! I'll sometimes catch The Jack Benny Program on TV - great stuff and he influenced Johnny Carson and Bob Newhart.

There's great humor in watching the Hope road movies with Bing; any Marx Brothers movies or Groucho's You Bet Your Life; the Dean Martin Show and Man of the Hour Roasts.

Speaking of Dean... this is my favorite skit from his show with Foster Brooks. Dean can't keep from laughing Drunk Pilot

Watch the sketch where Dean is a sales clerk and Bob Newhart is a customer returning a toupee

Newhart's adlibs are priceless

Yep, seen Bob twice in Nam - while on R&R in Saigon in 66 and again in Cam Ranh Bay in 68 - Joey Heatherton in a mini dress both times - she was smoking hot.
