while I don't work with any angry liberals, there was this rather peculiar FB post I read the morning after the Election.

a girl I've known for years said how she was feeling ill and wasn't going into for work the day. She then went on a three paragraph rant about now that Trump was the President that she was TERRIFIED for the future of our country.

personally, I thought it was silly. You want to stay home from work where you could be doing something productive and getting your mind off things? Instead you want to engage others on FB and complain about the elections results.

There was a conversation going on at work today and someone said something positive about Trump. This angry liberal stands up and rushes out of the room. Later on she comes back in and says “Sorry, I needed to step outside in the hallway to calm down and just breath.” Another time a buddy of mine is talking about an AR 15 build he is doing and this angry liberal erupts like Mount Vesuvius . Every other word is a curse word and her face is turning bright red. There was no debate of any kind. Just her shouting. My friend says to me that we can talk about this later and walks away. Both of these incidents took place this week. This behavior and response is common if someone has a different view on any topic other than her own. I just don’t get it.

Three things you don't talk about at work. Money, Politics, or Religion. People are psycho and it's not worth the headache to even slip up and compliment trump or talk about a fun weekend with your family shooting at the range.

Same, I actually only talk to my co-workers about work stuff.

I talk with most of them about all sorts of things. Mostly cooking/grilling, but also other topics. Politics and religion are off limits.

Your OP reminds me of political analyst Charles Krauthammer's quote:

"Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil."

Once trump enrolls these liberals in treatment centers the country will be much better off

I agree, but sometimes it’s impossible. The left leaning individuals are the ones, whom in my experience are the one’s who won’t shut up about politics. They’ll talk to anyone who will listen, but if you even slightly disagree then you’re blackballed (who cares) or completely thought of in a different light if not called a racist nazi on the spot.

Not really, but one time at lunch, it was 4 or 5 of us at the table and the waitress overheard the conversation.

One of the dudes with us was telling us about him having gone shoot his new gun and he motioned his hands as if he was aiming as the waitress came take our order. She said something like "well this sounds like a scary conversation. I hope yall work for the police or something".

Not sure what she was trying to say, but it seemed as if she was saying "if you are not a policeman then why are you talking about shooting guns".

But as for as work and politics. That is two things that should be mixed... Well, unless your job is in politics, but if someone does bring it up, there really isn't anything that someone could say that would make me angry or upset.. Especially to the point I would have to leave the room.

The anger and irrational uproars are at levels I've never seen.

Me and my buddies can routinely talk about politics and nobody really gets bent out of shape, even though we have a diverse set of views.

Yesterday one of my best friends lit up our group text with anti-Trump messages, name calling, etc. I've never seen him so flustered. I could almost see the redness of his face and the smoke spewing from his ears. It was funny but a bit alarming.

People need to calm the frick down about politics. It's unhealthy to get so uptight about something you have so little control over.

I used to work with primarily extreme left liberals. Getting into a conversation with them was like banging my head against a wall while a goat was getting strangled. I just avoided any conversation not about work

An office full of them. I keep my conservative views mostly to myself and just shake my head and silently laugh at them most of the time.
