After reading a lot of these posts, I'm a little disheartened.

frick yes, I go put of my way to buy American. I do spend more on the items, but its usually a superior product.

I go out of my way to buy American tools (if I can't then German or Japanese, not China or Taiwan) I only wear shoes and boots with that little American flag on them. If you give me the option, I'll spend more to buy American products.

You guys love sending your money to China for your plastic paradise.

Infinity was my first fully made in Japan car. Body panel seam alignment was perfectly matched, and little things like a small, black mark on the windshield showing where the wiper blade end rests when stowed reflected quality.

My GMC Sierra and Ford Explorer started having issues near the end of their warranty. The Infinity was bullet proof until traded for another one five years later. The Japanese fervently believe in CQI, something we taught them after WW2.

I’ll buy American if not a significant premium. If it’s a tool used once or twice, Harbor Freight is fine.

The amount of Chinese junk on Amazon has made buying there just about worthless. I’ll probably drop Prime next renewal and just shop the net for what I need and pay shipping cost.

I usually try to by American first but sometimes American made cost 2-3 times more. Wanted a lithium powered cattle prod. USA made brand cost $143 and another 60 for the charger. Bought a foreign brand for $68 that came with a charger and a vehicle port charger.

Having foreigners make something here vs somewhere else doesn’t matter to me.

If the quality is equal, I don't gave to go out of my way, and price isn't significantly more then yeah I'll buy American. It's not a deal breaker, though.

Absolutely, Now more than ever since I came across a small porcelain Nativity Scene with "Made in China" stamped on the back.

We need President Trump back in that Oval Office, else Potatus will give the Chang Chang's exclusive right to make everything in this country.

I still can't believe this.....A Nativity Scene stamped "Made in China".

Yes

It's not necessarily determinative, obviously plenty of high quality stuff is made in China. But I feel like companies that produce products in America are often (not always) a little more connected/dedicated to their business, often have better CS, etc. It seems like a considerably bigger cost/hassle to produce materials here, so going through the effort is something I read into a bit.

In an era where there are two hundred different WYUZ and JUKOMO and CHAOREN knockoffs of every good product on Amazon, some company making a product at a 15 employee shop in Ohio certainly gets my attention.

Honestly though, I'm sometimes more impressed/drawn to things made in Europe.

You're going to be disappointed when you learn where Trump's defunct men's clothing line was made, and much of Ivanka's products for women.

I have some of his dress shirts, good quality.

It would resonate with me if it really meant 100% American made.

I worked with a manufacturer in the U.S. that touts making products here in the states. We tried to get a software project with their IT department that they ended up offshoring due to cost. Needless to say all their sunshine pumping about being American made still has cracks in the seams. And yes I'm still bitter about losing the project.

I look at food labels to see if it’s from China (crawfish tails) or other countries but usually most stuff is made in China and shipped here.

I think you have a lot of aging people here that like to think the US was best when they were young out of nostalgia and ego thinking their generation was best, and it's only going downhill, but I for one think that yes American made is just as good today as was before.

When did you graduate college by the way? Just to age you.

I engage or not based on the individual companies now. Too many fruit of the month sjw fru-fru perversion of the week groups in control. I only support traditional conservative business if there is any doubt.

Don’t allow communists to exist, not 1 nose under the tent!
