Does Amazon (and other online shopping) bum you out a little?

Did 90% of our Christmas shopping on line this year. It was nice, convenient, etc., but I do miss Christmas shopping a little bit in the stores/malls/etc.
I had fun looking for a gift when not knowing what to get.

Anyone else?

I know, Dear Facebook

I enjoy shopping in stores, but do occasionally buy stuff online. I have got my kids a few things on Amazon but will be taking them to stores soon to let them look around and let me know what they like.

I’m giving everyone on my list the same thing: sticks and twigs.

Win:Win-my underbrush gets cleaned out and I get exercise.

it's back.

Toys “R” Us has re-opened its doors, launching the first of two new stores planned for the holiday season after closing 800 of them last year. You might think, great, it’s time to become a Toys “R” Us kid again, but I’d keep thinking like a grownup for a bit longer.

You must have gotten that from your mom, because every year, she wants me to give her my twig and berries

It's certainly not the same and we are guilty of buying a lot online too.

I love being able to shop without the crowds, parking, driving, and showering.

I hate crowds. I hate lines. I hate stupid, slow people. Amazon is a godsend this time of year.

I don’t miss being in stores the week before Christmas but do miss being in stores the couple of weeks after Thanksgiving.

I wish there was a birth year listed next to everyone’s signature. Not just for this thread but for other threads as well. I would like to compare responses to everyones DOB.

Yes. It is why I've made it my mission this year to showcase the wonders of in-store shopping with my Christmas Pilgrimage. What will happen when all we have left is online shopping? Take in these stores and their offerings while they exist. Take heed, my dear friends, for the online future is bleak.
