Thanks Canada for pussifying our kids even further.
BBC: "Does Dodgeball Really Encourage Bullying?"
A new study in Canada describes dodgeball as "legalised bullying" and recommends that students should not be forced to play it. But dodgeball advocates say it all comes down to how the game is being taught.

Let's be honest, this happens.
Also, I don't think dodgeball should be banned, but I also have no problem with kids not being forced to play it. Make them run laps or something in PE instead.

Surprised it hasn’t happened already. America is determined to become a bunch of giant pussies.

About 35 years too late for me. I still have nightmares of John E. from my elementary school getting me in his sights on the dodgeball court.
Unnatural arm strength for a 12 year old.

You know what these fricks don't get? Dodgeball is a microcosm of life.
There will always be bigger, stronger and meaner people. Don't protect kids from these facts. Teach them how to deal with it.
This is the same reason that home schooling is a bad idea. School may be about academics but it is every bit as much about life skills. Socializing, dating, making friends, operating in a group environment and yes learning about bigger, meaner bullies. All of that is life.
This shite is why kids are living at home until 35.

Doesn’t all competitive activities use a strategy to exploit the weakness of an opponent?
Does the football coach tell his players to throw to the receiver that is being covered by the best or weakest end?
Does the job volleyball coach instruct her server to serve to the best or least athletic defender?
Does the quiz bowl captain choose categories that are his teams strength or weakness?

you have to understand they believe that we can create a society beyond this and that games like dodgeball reinforce the outdated belief you just posted. i'm not going to say your comment is wrong, but they are winning the culture war and the more they win, the more you are wrong

there is a reason "exploit" is a naughty word these days

This bullshite right here is part of the problem. "If I can't be the best, if it hurts, if it is hard - I just won't participate."
I have done tons of shite in my life that was hard, painful and unpleasant but needed to be done. Sometimes that is the way it needs to be. We are turning into a country that is full of damn pussies to be blunt about it.

Is smear the queer still active?

i think a better lesson is learning that you don't have to be the best at something, or hell, even good at something, to help your team
